My son brought this home from school, but I don't know what plant this is! Can you help me identify it?

This is a jade plant
believe from the picture is a start off of a rubber plant, should grow to be beautiful, also a good plant for indoors to give more oxygen to a room.
I don't think it is a jade plant or a rubber plant/tree, (Both names are given to the same plant). Variegated jade/rubber plants have a 'splash' of variegation, whereas this plant has a distinct white border.
Also the leaves of the jade/rubber plant are usually born in opposing pairs, where this plant appears to bear its leaves in 'threes'. And too, the leaves and stem do not seem to be thick/succulent enough to be that of jade or rubber plant.
Maybe the teacher could offer a name. If she/he does, please let us know.
This is a strange plant as the white border looks almost perfect with no variance. It looks very young so maybe when it grows a little we may be able to identify it.
Hope the teacher has some information and you can let us know if it blooms or is it just a foliage plant.
