I have a green hippo that's been with me for 20 years. I'm wondering if anyone could tell me what make he is or where he came from. The tag has faded.

The Applause company used to make toys like this. They are no longer in business.
Toys R Us had a line of stuffed animals in their baby department and a hippo that looked a lot like yours that was blue, they may have made green ones also.
Is he filled with beans/pellets?
I have seen lots of similar ones come up for sale on eBay and they are usually asking $4-10 depending on condition.
