Artmark Dolls were made in the 1960s and 1970s. They range from $10 to $100 on ebay. From what I have seen, your doll is in the higher range.

The artmark brand/patent was issued in the 70's and expired in 2009. Thus they went out of business and thus the doll has special consideration due to being a legacy item.

So saying, it is still a mass produced v antique doll so will not have a whole lot of value

Artmark was the owner of several companies and it seems that each company was started at different dates and closed on different dates but some as late as 2016.

  • Artmark was associated with Bradley in the 60's & 70's and they specialized in what was called "big eyed dolls" but I cannot find any evidence that Artmark owned any part of Bradley as Bradley became Milton Bradley in later years. So it appears they were just associated in the selling of the "big eyed dolls" as Artmark had a large distribution company.

  • Example of those dolls:
  • Artmark owned several companies that sold dolls under the names; Crowne, Diana's Dolls, Debutante, and also under Artmark. All of these companies started at different years but they are all closed now (but as late as 2016).
  • The Bradley dolls were made in Japan and then their next dolls were made in Korea and only their later dolls were made in China (such as your doll).
  • I believe your doll may be a Crowne doll but I can find no evidence that any of their dolls had marks on their body's (but you should check the back of her neck to be sure).
  • Here are a couple of Crowne dolls for you to see the resemblance:

  • The problem is it appears any name or company name (other than Artmark) were only placed on the outside of their original box and when that is gone then only the tag with Artmark remains for ID purposes.
  • Sorry but it appears this is all the information I could find and that still does not really identify your doll. Since all you have is Artmark, you may never find a doll like yours.
  • eBay, Etsy and Google are the best places to search should you wish to do more in the future.
  • The value of all of these dolls remains very low no matter which company name is used.

Anyone interested in the Artmark company history here is a link to their beginning dates and ending date and some of the brand names that Artmark owned.

I am surprised that I was not able to find her specifically as I remember selling this style of doll when I worked in retail.

She is from after 1961, probably the 1980s. I can tell the after 1961 part from the tag with all of the statues:

The others have all given you pretty good info about the company history, although I am wondering why there is a Paradise Gallery tag at her feet. I may be having a total brain freeze, but I don't remember these two companies being affiliated. I could be way wrong...the mind is terrible thing to lose.

Are you asking because you want to sell her? Post back if you would like some general help with online doll sales. I am happy to give you some hints and tips!
