I just want to identify my great grandmother's doll.

Can you post some additional info? How tall is the doll? Is the body fabric or plastic? Is the head sewn to the body?
Is the clothing velvet or corduroy?
How old is/was your great grandmother?
This doll has the feel of a 1970s doll based on the clothing--but the clothing may not be original. The doll itself does not look old either though..so this one has me quite puzzled. The doll looks like it is from the 1990s.
Another thing that has me quite curious is it seems to be gender neutral (can't tell if it is a boy or girl). I am wondering if the hair was styled after market (like it was a girl with long hair and cut to be more boyish?
So many questions, I know, but it may help me figure it out! Thanks!
Undress the doll and look for markings on the back, back of neck, chest and bottom of feet. This is an old doll regardless. If you cant find markings take it to a dealer or upload the picture to the forum at www.dollreference.com and someone should be able to identify it
Hi,
This is a cute doll. I agree that looking for a mark would be helpful if you can find one. Not all dolls have marks, however. Some of them were sold with just tags which were fastened with elastic.
Post back what you find about this doll, I think a lot of us are curious!
Robyn
