Can anyone tell me who is the maker of this doll? She has no markings. I got her at an auction. I am just curious to see if she is worth more than what I purchased her for?

She looks old and unique. I would take her to a dealer and see what she or he says.
While technically this is a doll, when you are trying to research her, she is a marionette (puppet) on a swing.
Are her clothes handmade?
Does she have any marks on her body or on the wood swing?
What is her body made of?
I am not an expert on this, but my feelings from my doll history is she may be a newer piece designed to look old. I say that because of the ring (looks machine made--meaning not super old) and the wood piece looks newer--like particle board not hardwood that a true antique would use (now this is from the photos--I could be all wrong if I touched it).
Best to get an toy/puppet expert to give her a looks see!! Do you have a good vintage/antique shop in your town? I would let them look at her.
If she is old and a famous brand, she could have some value. If she is newer, those sell quite low.
Please post back what you learn!! Thanks for sharing!
thank you so much for your advice and comments. She has no markings and from the seams on her clothing the seem to be handmade. Her face is what seems to be porcelain. Her feet and hands are squished, and rounded off.
One more lead for you on this neat gal. She may be a Shalom brand marionette. I am not really familiar with the brand since I never sold it, but if you put that into Google or Ebay a bunch of very similar gals show up.
Sadly when I search, I can't find any evidence of ones that sold so it is hard to give your gal a value. There are a bunch unsold at a variety of prices.
There may be some sold examples on other websites besides eBay. I haven't had a chance to check my other sources.
Blessings and thanks again for sharing her. She is sweet!!
