I found a porcelain doll that is 19" long and has an E.M. on the back. Can anyone tell me about it or when it was made and where? I know it is at least 25 years old.

I do not recognize the marking. However, it looks like an old doll with value. I would take it to a dealer.
The photo is not very clear and the mark is not one I am familiar with (at least not just by E.M.)
Are the eyes painted on? Is the hair painted on? It looked like she is a closed mouth--no teeth showing?
The clothes do not look to be original to her, although I could be wrong--are they machine stitched or hand stitched?
What is her body stuffed with? Is it a bag filled with something smooshy or does it feel like sawdust or wood shavings?
With more info maybe I could help, but unfortunately I don't have enough to go on.
Some of the old (valuable) German dolls look a bit like this one, however, for many years in the US and Canada there were kit dolls made to look the the real old German dolls and most of those have very little value--so it is always challenging with out lots and lots of info to know if you have a branded doll or a kit doll.
If you have a vintage reseller in your town call and see if they will take a look at the doll. A good store owner should be able to tell you fairly quickly if you have a true vintage/antique or a reproduction piece.
I have to go into my nearest big city to find such places but you may be in a place where you have an antique/vintage store in your neighborhood.
Please post back what you learn! She is a sweet doll and i hope you have a real and valuable piece.
