Identifying a Porcelain Doll?

Identifying a Porcelain Doll - cute doll wearing a red dress with a floral pinafore look to itI have a cute little doll, small approximately 12 in. tall. There is no maker's mark, but I found a tag on the stuffed body. It has a porcelain head, lower arms/hands, and lower legs/feet. I'd appreciate it if anyone could tell me: Who is she and what is her approximate value?

This is a Japanese company. They make inexpensive items from salt and pepper shakers to dolls. This doll is very inexpensive.

She is cute, and I have seen her in my travels, but her name escapes me. Sadly she is one of a bunch of very similar dolls that all had trendy names when they were new.

I am not home at the moment, so I don't have access my resources (there are some things Google just can't help with), but I can tell you that finding her exact name is going to be like finding a needle in a haystack.

The doll markers often used the same head mold for many dolls and named them all something a little different.

If she is not in the original outfit (for some reason I don't think she is although I am not positive), it may be be even harder to figure out who she is.

She has to be (and I am trying my memory here) after 1961 when the PA reg listed on her tag was mandated. Also the state has the periods and I think that went away in the 1970s or early 1980s when the PO became better automated. This would date her sometime in that time period

As to her value, I have seen these dolls sell for a low as $1 and as high as $20. The higher values are usually for the larger dolls.

I wish I had better news on the value. If I figure out the name, I will post back.

Thanks for sharing her!
