Do you know anything about this doll? All it has for markings is "Amusement" burnt on the back of its head. She's really fragile. Her material inside is like straw. It is really well preserved. My friends and I looked it up or tired to anyway, many times, but failed. I can't find anything on it.

She may have been a prize won at amusement parks.
WOW!! This child looks quite old...I have never seen one, but there was a company called Amusement Novelty Company in the 1920s from Elmira, New York.
Elmira has a historical society...perhaps someone from there can tell you if this doll came from there and maybe they would want it.

I will keep digging, so if you learn something before I do, please post back!
Very cool!!
This doll deserves a professional to examine her, someone who specializes in antiques/Dolls for the right answer!
I believe you will have to post her pictures on a doll forum to identify her.
There is one site that has good responses from real doll collectors but you will have to post several very good pictures - dressed and undressed and especially the marking on her head. They will also need her size and any information you have about her past.
This doll is very old and well taken care of. When I was small I use to see the two dolls my mom had hidden in our garage. There was one that was a baby doll that looked very much like the one you are showing us here. She also had a Little Red Ridding Hood doll. I believe hers are from the 1940's and were given to her when she was born. Your doll does look a lot older than this one.
