I picked up a doll at a local thrift store. The only marking on the doll is on the back of the neck. It says, "A&O, 1999". It is a beautiful doll with a life-like face. I would love to know who made it.

My Grandmother was a China painter and she taught China painting. She sign her work with her signature or initials adding the year she made and painted her porcelain dolls. She also sewed their clothes.
I hope that this note helps solve your mystery. The art that china painters do is just so awesome.
Hi and thanks for asking!
A&O is a brand doll that was produced by a company called Accents & Occasions. They were quite common in the 1990s. I don't know if they sold kits that people could paint their own dolls and dress them...I only remember them selling boxed dolls that were pre-made and dressed.
I don't thinks she has a name, as most of the dolls in this brand did not get named. The company wanted the owner to name her.
She is very pretty.
If you are trying to value her, this brand is on the low end of the spectrum in most cases, with their dolls, if they sell, selling for $2 to $25.
That is a huge range, but it is all about supply and demand and there is a huge supply and very little demand, but occasionally a buyer sees something they need to fill in their collection and are willing to pay a little higher.
Hope this helps!! Thanks for asking!
Since you just purchased the doll I know you are not looking to sell the doll off. This doll was made by a company called Accents & Occasions and was made in 1999. The company makes home decor and furniture but it looks like in 1999 they had some dolls they were selling. You can see on of them here on eBay that a person is trying to sell.
