Identifying a Porcelain Doll?

Identifying a Porcelain Doll - yawning dollDoes anyone know who made this yawning doll and or an age? She's so funny looking I wish I knew more about her. She does have some markings; it looks like "by J something". I can't read it, but thought someone might recognise her or the markings.

Thanks.

It looks very much like one my grandma had but that was by Mattel about half a decade ago or so.. the mouth is almost exact. It's very cool! I'd love to know if you find out!

I have searched on the doll identification sites and can't seem to find a doll manufacture with this symbol that is on your doll. On one of the sites I search they have a very popular doll forum. People from around the world go there to try and find a way to identify their dolls and more about the dolls they own. If you can't find anything else about this doll you might want to try this forum.

Doll chat is one of the most popular forums for doll collectors. There are many dolls out there that people would like to know more about, but unfortunately there just isn't any information to be found online. Therefore, they go to a forum to find the infromaton they are looking for.

Hi thanks for the replys so far, I've been continuing to try to find out myself, and it looks very similar in design, even hand posturing to a La Rose Choir Singing Doll.
Not sure if it is one but very close in looks.
Keep posting. Thanks heaps. Sheree (Australian)

Use a magnifying glass to look for marks. Look in her clothing for tags. You need to find out the manufacturer.

You can go on E-Bay over a months time and look for your doll.

Also describe your doll and E-Bay will e-mail you when it is posted.

Here is a doll reference site so you can look at images dollreference.com/
