I bought this porcelain doll at a large antique mall! She is gorgeous, with original clothes and wig. (I added the socks to protect her feet.) She is Asian, with an original vest that leads me to believe she may be Mongolian. There was a boy, who matched her in looks and clothes, but I just bought the girl.
She has a mark and the initial 'SR' on the back of her head! If you know anything, it would be appreciated!

Cant you go back to the store and ask them?
I have done some research and while I can't find an exact match...these have a resemblance to the Pauline Doll series.
The company/artist made a large number of dolls and some were boy/girl sets. They also made dolls of other ethnicity.
Sadly the artist is deceased (2006--so the doll if part of the series would be more contemporary--depending on year, may be vintage, but probably not antique).
I have a couple of links to help you continue the research--you may have to wade through a lot to find an exact match (go by the face as the dress and/or the vest may or may not be from the original package):
www.dollery.com/
www.dollpeddlar.com/
The last website as some contact info, so maybe one of their experts can give you more info. I am still a novice at doll collecting...and still learning the ropes! I am always asking questions of the experts and most people are very kind to offer their expertise.
Let us know what you find as this is a great way to crowd source knowledge!
