I've recently come into possession of a doll I can't identify and I'm hoping you can help. I think she's vintage because her outfit is sewn onto her and the white fur trim on the dress, hat, and muff are made out of real fur. She's porcelain and her eyes appear to be glass. Her mouth is open and her tongue looks dimensional. There are some markings on the back of her neck and one seems to be made by hand. She doesn't appear to have been played with, but is disheveled. I'm hoping this will help you identify her for me.

This is an SFBJ doll, from France. They were manufactured from 1899 though the early 1960s. It is likely the doll is worth less than $500. Read this article here: www.thesprucecrafts.com/
Judy, Thank you so much for the info & the article your provided on my doll. I will look for more info on my particular doll, but would the crude hand etched word & numbers (JAN 176) next to the stamped area help to narrow down the year she was made?
