Identifying a Vintage Panda Teddy Bear?

Identifying a Vintage Panda Teddy Bear?I'm a newbie. I was searching for any info on my vintage stuffed panda bear. I've been told all my life that I've had the bear since I was 3 months old. I'm now 61. I would love to know more about her. I'm assuming she was made sometime around 1959 my birth year or 1958? I love her dearly and would never part with her, but it would fun to learn more.

I appreciate any help. Thank you!

Cute..
These were very popular in the 50-60's and due to their popularity, several companies made thousands of all types/styles/sizes but Rushton was definitely the biggest producer.
I believe your plush is Rushton as I found one similar to yours in that the material was 'shedding' in the same manner as yours which means the same material was being used at that time (by Rushton).
If Pghgirl cannot help you then you may be able to find the information you're looking for on one of the plush forums as they have answers from a lot of collectors.

They may want a picture of the back also - you will have to join the groups to post.

It is time to ask the major social media sites. This question would be answered faster on the bigger sites. There are many online right now, and someone will have the answer. There are collectors of toys, along vendors who collect vintage for resale. Try Facebook, twitter, etc. Good Luck!

Rushton was the biggest (or one of the biggest) makers of the rubber face plushies back in the 1950s.

I am going through all of my records to see if I can find one that matches. I found one very similar with different eyes on Etsy.

imgur.com/.../RhehPp7 I have the same question. I acquired an exactly identical, other than the condition being much better on the one I have, at an estate liquidation and was hunting for an idea of value in my condition.

I posted a thread on the subredit "whatsthisworth" anyone else interested in the doll can find out what becomes of it here: www.reddit.com/.../?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app...
