We have this antique barrel chair that we are trying to find out about. It is very solid and heavy. We found that the seat cushion is removable and under it is a label that has the name "Paul Doumer" and "Paris" along with some other information.
We appreciate any information and value of the chair that you can provide.
Thank you in advance.

The photo with the tag does not come across clear.
What I can make out is B. S (something) ade and then the 80 Paul Doumer (which is the address most likely of the store where it was sold as that is a street address in Paris.
The street address today looks like (from Google earth) a store called Bonton. Perhaps it is from there if that is an old store. Their website does not give the history of how long they are in business.
The style is a 1940s style (or a repro piece).
I am going to keep digging as I love unique pieces to see if I can locate more. I just wanted to ask my question about the tag of if you can read it better than it comes across in the photo.
Thanks! Will post back with more info.
Sorry--I hit send too soon. The street was not named after the assassinated president (Doumer) until 1933, so your piece is after that.
Thank you for your comments about the chair. My husband took pictures of the label again and hope these help.
How can I send to you?
You should be able to upload an image as feedback. There should be a link right below the box that you type in that has a little camera icon and says "Upload an Image".
If you are having trouble posting them, you can send them to me directly. Just send them to thrifty@thriftyfun.com and add the title of your original question. I can get them posted for you.
Thank you.... I just e-mailed to you. I really appreciate your help.
Your chair has quite the history! Here is a great place to start! Enjoy!!

History of the designer!
So happy I could help! You have a beautiful piece there! I hope you enjoy it and its history and if you are planning to sell, that you can get it in a venue that will help you fetch the most possible for it. I would take bids on selling it through a real auction house (NOT eBay) or an antique store. It is quite unique. Art Deco is fun and in some markets is coming back in style/fashion so that is good. It looks like your piece is in nice shape, so that will help with the selling if you go that route. Post back with any info if you do sell so we can learn the current market value where you are located. I am assuming you are in Europe.
Wow. Thank you for your comment. We do want to sell it and appreciate your recommendations. We are located in the U.S.
Thank you very much. This biography is very interesting. We hope to learn more about this beautiful piece.
All the best to you !
