I need help identifying this old ceramic bowl. It is in a friend's attic in the U.K. Any ideas?

I think this is a soap dish. Any markings on the bottom?
No, there isn't anything on the bottom. Do you mean to store soaps? As it's quite big.
I'm still looking for something on this. I don't think it is Art Deco. I believe it was made in a later period.
Before I ever touched a computer, a co worker told me you could find anything on the Internet. I said "I don't believe it. Find Kigimafukiduma. He found it in 30 seconds.
It is possible that there is no picture of this bowl, other than yours, on the Internet. I will keep looking.
(Kigimafukiduma is a variety of Mondo grass).
I didn't write the title originally that's just what this website put there.
Does it say anything on the bottom or is there some kind of maker mark on her back? If so, you can search the name on Google or ebay. Always check "completed auctions" to get an idea of it's value.
I have the same figurine.i thought it was a candy dish, but mine has markings on the bottom
It's great that you have this same dish.
Would it be possible for you to post what information is on your dish?
Mine says 1964 Marie almost like done in a class. It belonged to my grandmother born in 1919 and she used hers as a candy dish.
I HAVE THIS lady in blue with rhinestones on the top of her dress. the bottom of mine says MZ. ?? This is the first time, I've ever been able to even find a picture close to my girl.
I have this dish. Her dress is cream and her hair is dark. I also use her as a candy dish. She is definitely not a mermaid. She has no markings on the bottom. This post is the first I have ever seen with the same dish.
I have the cream one, no mark. I think she is finishing on stage(ballet) or a dance floor. I have seen it live! Would have to see the MZ mark to go further into it.
The blue or green color hides the folds of her dress. The person with the cream colored girl will most likely agree! The lusterware glaze is amazing on the textured floor! Also, I bought a similar glazed figurine at the same time with no mark but just as good, if not better, than the cream girl one. I am starting to think these could be apprentiship pieces from a European school(as I am a journyman cabinetmaker and had to produce something to pass on to the next year.
