This looks like a logo plate for machinery! This is often used for larger machine equipment!
Normally industrial machine will have identification plates on them such as this. You can also find plates like this one some farming equipment. As for age this one is hard to determine and it is not so easy to find out the exact company that used this brand on their machinery.
