How and when did you get your pet?
We got him on Facebook, we fell in love at first sight.
What does your pet like to do for fun?
He liked to play with sticks, he'd chase them till he dropped if we would have let him. He loved his sticks, but we never could get him to bring them back.
He and the rest of our dogs always played together, but when there was work to be done Boo was always right there. He followed me everywhere.
Do you have anything else to share about your pet?
Although we only had him for about 3 years, he was the best dog I've ever had and he will be missed greatly. We live on a 37 acre farm, and Boo ran free most of the time, but on cold nights he always came into the house and stayed in his bed under the kitchen table.
We found him dead in the garage today where he goes at night. We are not sure what caused it, but he did have two wounds on his left hip and leg. It looks like something got a hold of him, maybe an opossum or a big raccoon or even a bob cat. I just can't tell from the wounds. John doesn't think he has been dead, but maybe 10-12 hours. We were in the shed every night hoping he would be in there. So we know he was out carousing till last night or so. He has taken off before for a few nights, but he always came home. He came up missing Thursday night and we had been looking everywhere for him.
Today is a very sad day for me and Lisa because we both loved Boo so much. We're going to miss him begging for his treats and loving on us all the time. Most of all he always greeted us at the van when we came home. John would pull up and open the door and he would jump right up wanting his pettings. He would lean back in to your hand to get as much as he could and when you said OK that's enough he would get down and lead up to the door.
He was very protective of us and if anyone came over he would act as if he was the meanest dog you ever saw until we came out or said OK Boo it's OK and then he was your best friend to just about anybody
We're going to miss you Boo.

So sorry for your loss. You gave him a very good life and a lot of love. Your memories and love are forever.
