I'm looking for an older reel mower to restore for a project. I found this one but can not find any information on manufacturer or age. I was told that it was a Crown but see nothing on it to verify this. I would like to know the original manufacturer and approximate age, also paint colors to restore it to original.
Found something similar on the Old Lawn Mower Club about a "Five Star Ball Bearing" possible manufacturer Hibbard, Spencer & Bartlett says the original color was green and yellow. Hoping someone can help with more specific information.

Vintage lawn mowers are sometimes difficult to identify unless you are into refurbishing different brands.
Since information is what you are looking for, I would suggest you join some of the vintage forums and ask your questions there as these members seem to love a 'mystery' and will probably be able to help you.
ThriftyFun also has information:

I did post this to the Old Lawn Mower Club, and haven't gotten any response. Some of the other links don't allow pictures so it would be hard for anyone to identify without seeing pictures.
Sorry you were not able to find more information but I post pictures to several sites be sure to try each one.
Did you ask your question on the Old lawn Mower Club?
You might also try some of the farm supply stores as many of those stores have books that may have information they could share.
I would contact the creator of this website reellawnmower.com/
