I found this old trunk and was wondering if you could help me finding the maker, date, etc. Also, I'm planning on refreshing it a bit but I notice the textile in the trunk has mold. Do you think I can salvage it? Thank you!

You have an American Antique Dome Top Trunk. If an antique trunk does not have a manufacturer's mark, then it will be almost impossible to determine who made it. Your trunk is approximately 110-120 years old.
Since it is damaged by mold, try to kill the mold first. Place your trunk in the sun for a day or two. Move it around so that all sides get exposure.
The average American made antique trunk is worth about $100 to $300 depending on the style, size and condition. If fully restored prices can be anywhere from $400 to $1300.
I know you can clean mold with a diluted bleach solution. Do this first and then take to a dealer for a verbal appraisal.
The paper upholstery inside the chest is very moldy. I would suggest removing paper and textile. Then clean stubborn mold from the inside of an old steamer trunk with diluted bleach.
