I bought a Brandt side table, French Provincial. #5339 Chateau stamped on the drawer. Any one know if there is a directory for Brandt #s? I paid $7.00 for it.

Your Brandt side table is from the 1960 Chateau collection. The Chateau group is described as follows:
"French Provincial furniture always hints of gracious living and the Chateau group by Brandt is no exception. The warmth of France's sunny provinces seems to have been blended into the fine Chateau finish of these pieces crafted so painstakingly from the finest of selected Cherry veneers, genuine Cherry and Solid Cherry. Several pieces are enhanced even more with the distinctive and rich touch of painted and hand decorated finishes. Truly magnificent! The selection of antiqued brass hardware perfectly compliments the mood of luxuriousness set by the Chateau group making it the choice of all who appreciate the finer things of life."
Your side table is on page 12 (11 in the directory), number 5952, FRENCH PROVINCIAL CHAIRSIDE TABLE:
Selected Cherry veneer on cabinet hardwood is used for the top and genuine Cherry for the underparts. The one drawer has an antiqued brass drawer pull. Chateau finish. Top 28x20 in. Hgt. 21 in.
Here is a coffee table from this collection for $ 337 www.ebay.com/
So you really got a fantastic deal.

YES!!!!! THATS IT! Thank you for this, I tried searching, even contacted Brandt Furniture with little success.
You are welcome :)
I have never found a full listing online. Usually I find Brandt items on a paid site that I subscribe to, newspaper.com. Sometimes they are listed by model number or line name but sometimes you just have to search by style.
The site is down at the moment so I can check back and see if I can find it. I am assuming you want to see it new and know the year.
You got a good price for it!
The newspaper site came back up. The Chateau line was heavily advertised in 1959, and then briefly in 1964. The 1959 listings never had photos (which is odd) and the 1964 did, but not your table.
If I can locate anything else, I will post back. Thanks!
Thank you.... I really like the table and have no intentions of selling it.
The table goes very well in our restored 1895 N. Utah farm house.
AND.... a solid wood table in this style for $7.00?!!?
Thank you, You and the rest of the members of this site are amazing....
You got a great deal. All the vintage Brandt tables here are going for far more! vatican.com/
You really got a great deal.
I have not found a table like yours but this style of furniture was popular over a period of several years so I feel sure it would be called 'mid-century' but hopefully PGHgirl will find a more definite date.
Sometimes you can post pictures and ask questions on these sites and someone will usually have information to share:
