I am having trouble identifying this mark for Johnson Brothers dishware. What is it worth, and what period is it from?

You have Johnson Brothers England Athena. Athena is the name of the pattern.
The backstamp (mark) was used in 1950-1959 (c.) www.search.staffspasttrack.org.uk/
You didn't write how many pieces you have. For example the prize for a set of 3-4 Cup & Saucer is $26-30, teapot $42

There is a setting for eight. This includes dinner plates, salad plates, dessert plates, cups and saucers, bowls, serving bowel and platter.
It appears the mark you're displaying is the earlier mark that was used in the 1950's. The Athena pattern was made in the 50's through 1999 and several marks were used after this crown mark was discontinued.
I'm not sure any of this makes any difference in use or value but it is different than any other pattern that I've researched.
Example:
This listing for 5 salad plates has 3 different marks:

You can check out the sold listings on eBay to get an idea of true value and the low number of pieces that are actually selling.
I do not believe it would be a good idea to list as a set but maybe in groups of 4.
It is Athena, produced between 1955-1999. For a 5 piece place setting @ replacements.com, the price is $65.95 for a set.
For a set of 6 saucers on ebay, the price is $18.71.

This Johnson Brothers china is still very sought after among customers with it's classic timeless look. A 5 piece place setting is being offered for under $60. This link has a collection of this china, and they also buy and sell if you wish to unload collection from consumers - www.replacements.com/
Timeless pattern!! I see the other posters identified it and gave you span of creation.
Are you an experienced reseller and if so, have you sold dishes before?
I am happy to help with hints and tips if you are not an experienced reseller and/or have not sold dishes before.
Selling whole sets is not as easy as you think and sadly in most cases you will not realize the retail values that places like Replacements.com get for them.
Post back if you need a few hints and tips!
