I am requesting help determining type of wood, approximate manufacture date, and approximate value (for resale) of my Mersman Nesting Tables. They have a few scratches but I havent polished them up yet. They top table is marked 25-8 underneath.

I found the original ad for them. They are circa 1964-1965 advertised in one place as mahagony "finish" with Formica finish tops to make them party proof.
Interestingly enough another newspaper just says mahagony with Formica tops.
They are the exact same item pictured.
If they were all mahagony they should have had a label from the mahagony association which required labels on solid mahagony pieces prior to 1969, although that could have fallen off.
Are they heavy or light weight? If they have a heft to them they are probably mahagony. If they are light, they are probably a plywood with the Formica and mahagony stain.
In 2015 a seller had two of the three and claimed they are walnut. I trust the original ad that they are not walnut or the ad would have said that.
Approximate resale value in most places is $15-50. Condition matters as does supply and demand. I am in a place where there is little demand and a high supply so values are low. Hopefully you are in a low supply high demand place!!
This set is asking $450 on Chairish. www.google.com/
Mersman tables were made in the mid-20th century.
Thanks. I have looked at Chairish and EBay. I would still like to know what type of wood they are made of - if that is possible from the pics and info I provided.
Why don't you do a search on eBay, describe your item in detail, enter any numbers or marks that you find on the wood. You might not find an exact match but maybe simular that would give you a general idea.
I found a set of three vintage hardwood nesting end tables by Mersman. They look like your tables, dimensions
23.0" W x 24.0" H x 15.5" D.
