I am looking for some answers if possible: age, maker, what's it worth if anything, and should I sell it/restore it. I know a very little history of this trunk, but I know my mom has the twin of it, but she redid hers. Any help is useful of course and I will say thank you in advance now.

I would send this picture to the Antiques Roadshow at PBS.org. www.pbs.org/
Is it lined with paper or fabric?
Is the top flat or bowed slightly?
What are the measurements?
The lock will be one of the keys to help with the research--it is hard to get a good bead on it from the photo:
Maybe this article can get you started:

Maybe with more info, I can help with value.
Thanks!
The Liner is paper.
it is bowed slightly.
the lock is an eagle lock Co. with no patent year or mark on it.
I will get true measurements when I get home later today.
It was also suggested that the latches might be O.D. Hunter.
Also...can you tell me what the print is on the front--is it a boy, a girl, a woman, a child--there appear to be very faint lithographs on each side--or decals. Can you feel them or are they flat?
That has me curious also. This is a neat piece!!
