Someone gave me this old vanity tonight and I would like to know a little bit more about it. There's a sticker on the back but it's all smudged up. I know that cheif unAugusta was on the sticker at some point. Hey can anybody share anything about what they might know about it? Any time periods or anything like it?

Chief unAugusta is not a well known brand but apparently they did have a good name.
This style vanity, if I remember correctly, was popular in the 30-40's.
The vanity cannot really be seen with this picture but do you have the drawers?
It usually takes several pictures to even make good guesses about furniture so if you really want good answers you will need pictures of the full front (complete with drawers), side picture, full back picture, pictures of inside and sides of drawers.

I found a plain dresser that sold for $160 in 2015:

Interesting information:
Apparently the company was named after a real chief:

The sticker at your vanity says Unagusta, not unAugusta.
Unagusta Furniture Manufacturing Co. was known for its high-quality home furnishings. The company was purchased by R. L Prevost and his four sons, and burned to the ground in 1955. The company rebuilt in Waynesville and was operating as Lea Furniture before it closed. www.themountaineer.com/
In the book "Images of America Waynesville" by Michael Beadle, Peter Yurko (2010), on page 83, it is also written that the fire was in 1955:
"Incorporated in 1904, Unagusta began as an offshoot of the Quinlan-Monroe Lumber Company. The original factory was situated among abundant hardwood timber and next to new railroad lines. Begun with only 25 employees, the company would see tremendous growth, aided by its easy access to row materials and its ability to construct a finished product on site. The factory built furniture, wooden columns, moldings, ceilings, floors, and wooden pipes. After a fire distroyed the plant in 1955, it was rebuilt at a nearby site and eventually sold to Lea Industries."
I think your vanity had a mirror like the vanity from the 1926 UNAGUSTA MFG CO. BEDROOM FURNITURE DRESSER VANITY CHEST OF DRAWERS AD www.worthpoint.com/
I think your vanity was made in the 1920s.
The company was based in North Carolina in 1904 and had a fire in the 1950s.
