I have a Penncrest transistor phonograph and it still sounds great. It has a record player, 8 track, am/FM stereo. I am wanting to know what it may be worth.

This unit was the house brand for JC Penney. Many people call these low-fi and not high-fi because they were not respected so much. A lot of collectors will not buy this brand because of who made it. I saw on a radio forum that a person wanted to sell one and he was only asking $100 for the unit in good working condition. He could not even sell the unit at this price and had to lower it down to $50.
On the flip side, a lot of JC Penney's brands was MSC (Modular Stereo Components). Many of the Penny's Penncrest stereo consoles were built by Wells-Gardner. In general, I believe they were a step above Sears Silvertone sets of the period. This stereo unit is in beautiful shape and there are still a lot of people out there that would buy this and take it home for the right price.
I would start to list this for around 150-175 dollars and see if you get any interest in the unit. You may need to list this as pick up only because it will be so hard to ship. You can try some radio and stereo forums and talk with people there. There are still collectors of these units and it is possible to still receive a decent price for this unit.
