I have acquired this very old looking chair and I have spent some time researching trying to find out when it was made, if it's a desk, dining side, or school chair, and not looking for an appraisal but maybe some educated opinions on the value. Any information would be greatly appreciated or direction on how to find the information. Thank you and have a great day.

Your chair has the famed label early circa 1900 Conant Ball Chairmakers Co Richmond street Boston Massachusetts like these chairs antiquetigeroak.com/
In 1868 a branch was added in Boston. In 1875 the firm name was changed to "Conant, Ball & Company". In 1909 a Massachusetts corporation was formed, under the name of the Conant Ball Company.
This wood cane-seat dining or side chair with spindle back is from mid-century. I love it's clean lines and straightforward design.
Thank you for your response. It is a very sturdy chair and I have found one that's similar but not exact. I was thinking pre-1920's, but still unsure.
Conant Ball furniture resells for a lot of money, which is good news for you. Your chair looks to be part of a dining set.
Thank you. I'm looking for when it was made or at least a 10 year range. I was thinking it was either a side chair for a dining set or a desk chair.
