I purchased this little table today at Goodwill. It appears to be antique. The inside has a velvet lining. The top lifts up and there is storage under it. Only the bottom drawer in the front is an actual drawer although it looks like there are two drawers.
I would like to know what it was used for and approximately how old it is. It is wood or wood veneer. The top is pieced wood like parquet.

If the inside is velvet lined, the piece was made to hold either jewelry or flatware
Some thing it was for sewing or knitting storage.
Can you please show the inside? That would be helpful. Thank you.
Here is the inside.
I sent a picture of the inside of my "sewing" table.
Maybe your table is to store games in.
Saw this table and the top opens, it's lined, and there's also a drawer:

That one seems a lot bigger. Mine is only about 13" depth, 20 " wide, and 24" tall.
