I have a Lane cedar chest with style number 2211 76, serial number 2095160. Can you tell me more about it?

Lane furniture has the reputation of using 6 digit numbers that give the date of the piece by turning the numbers in reverse. The value average is between $200 and $400,unless through auction or private sale!
The serial number backwards gives you the date it was made.
It is worth in the $200 range.
IT probably is made by Lane.Call the company and give them your serial numbers. They can tell you everything you need to know. Here is their contact number 1-877-251-5010.
They went out of business in 2001.
You can find a few of these items posted online. Like others have said the serial number backwards is your date. Depending on where you are looking to sell this item they range from $200 to $400. it is hard to post things online and sell them because you will need to ship the item to the buyer.
Your serial number has 7 digits which means the last digit is the plant (in this case I think 2 is Altivista VA), and it was made in 1990.
In most parts of the country if you are looking to sell, this style and year of chest usually fetches from $10 to $100 if you can find the right buyer. Where I am, the market is so soft a friend who was selling one had to give it away when closing out her mother's estate.
Sad because they are lovely and functional pieces.
Your piece is part of the recall so you will want to call the new owner of Lane, UFI and get a new lock. This link has the directions:
