I know this is not your exact model, but my friend's hubby found this one helpful when doing work on hers.
Hope it helps you too!! He is very handy and is good at changing belts and such.
I would contact the Janome company, the maker of this machine.
Janome will refer all inquires to their authorized dealers in your area as that is in their dealer contracts so unless they have a video of this repair they will only give you a dealers address.
That is what I would advise doing; find a Janome dealer in your area and take it to the shop so it can be done properly. This is an older machine but it is very elaborate and can be damaged if something is not placed properly.
You might call either Michael's or Jo Ann's and ask who they recommend.
