I recently stayed overnight at a friend's house. To my misfortune, my clothes for the next day got crumpled in my bag and she did not have an iron. In the morning, I made us hardboiled eggs and used the boiling hot water with pot (covered) as an iron. I used one of her towels as an ironing board and smoothed the wrinkles out of my clothing. It worked perfectly! But I think I know what I'm getting my friend for Christmas.
If you are using this and have a pot with ridges on the bottom, put a piece of foil under it to protect your clothes.

Smart idea. I just went on vacation. I made sure I only packed items that wouldn't wrinkle.
I feel like everything I own wrinkles! Maybe I'm doing something wrong ;)
Did your friend have a dryer. I just run a wrinkled clothing item in the dryer for a bit with a damp towel.
Just a pay one-- this was free and we were boiling water anyway :)
Another trick which works extremely well is to use a lint-free cloth, run it under very hot water, wring it out, make sure your garment is laying flat, and wipe the wrinkles away with the hot, damp cloth. Hang to dry, if necessary. (This is great for delicate fabrics even if one has an iron.)
