I got my Chihuahua from my aunt in Alabama who's friend was a breeder and suddenly passed. He's super hyper and loves to play. He's always chewing on everything he can get ahold of! I love him to pieces and knowing wouldn't change that, but I'm so curious if he's really pure bred because of how active and temperamental he can be.

Looks like a Chihuahua to me!
He looks like he is a Chihuahua and if the dog came from a breeder they should have had some papers on the dog's bloodline. I know this won't be possible to get now because he passed away. I would bet on the dog being a purebred.

The pup looks like a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix (that body is very long and the haunches look doxie-like.
Have you asked the vet? The vet can look at what I can't, like teeth, jaw, and bone structure.

I have not yet but do plan to soon. We went in for all of his shots and stuff like that and he didnt like it and I forgot to ask cuz I was too busy babying him lol

Looks like a Chihuahua to me. A lot of Chihuahuas are temperamental and many have a high energy level so he seems to fit right in with the characteristics of a Chihuahua. I'm sorry about the situation with the breeder but glad that this little fellow has someone to love him and care for him.
Certainly looks like a chihuahua. Many that I have know are very energetic and temperamental.
