Even though it looks like it, the only way to know for sure is to have a DNA test done.

I think your dog is a red nose pit, but I'm not sure. DNA testing is the best way to answer this question.

Only a DNA test can tell you for sure, I am going to go with red nose pit mix.

You would need to have a DNA test to know the exact breed of your dog. The tests run approximately $100 & some also test a dog's risk of hereditary diseases.

I believe the majority of people even slightly familiar with the Red Nose Pit would say he/she has a prominent Red Nose gene, but no idea of other breeds. Everyone can guess, but since you acquired your dog, you are in a better position to know if he is a mixed breed or ?

How did you acquire your pup?
Breeder (paid in the thousands of dollars)?
Rescue - even rescue may charge for a 'good' breed?
Either of these places should have provided some sort of breeding information.
