I just adopted this gorgeous brindle baby girl from a local rescue. Her paperwork said American Bulldog, Wire Haired terrier mix. (They say momma was a gold Wire Haired Terrier). My vet only will go off her previous paperwork.
After doing some research I'm seeing some Pit in her and am worried I'll have to take her back due to not being allowed to have Pits in our home.
Praying for answers.
Thank you

The only way to find out for sure is to have a DNA test done. She does look part pit to me.
I would hope your housing organization would look only at what your vet says and let you keep this sweet baby. I am saying this on the assumption that she is well behaved and of a good temperament and you have had no complaints on her. If there is a problem with that, you may want to find a good lawyer (either your own or through legal aid).
There may be some pit there but I see terrier and lab.
I think if your housing organization is as ignorant and useless as you discuss, you are in trouble because
1) breed specific legislation is completely arbitrary and based on nothing more than looks. A great many type of dogs get flagged just because they have that stocky, big headed look, even if they are mutts who are mostly Great Dane + Golden Retriever. Just a certain look is enough to get the dog banned, even if you had 'paperwork' to the contrary
2) pit bull is not a breed per se, but an umbrella term for a certain category of dogs comprising 4 or more different breeds - and actually some count the American Bulldog as one. So your dog essentially IS a Pit Bull
