This is my foster dog. She's two pounds and clearly has some Chihuahua, but has floppy ears and her tail is a tad longer and is more straight. What do you think?

She looks like a long haired Chihuahua to me
So sweet!!! I see mostly Chihuahua. The haunches have a vague daschshund line to them, but not prominent. Has the vet given any feedback? I hope the place you foster for has a good vet support team! Blessings!!! Hope the pup finds a furever home soon!!!
Oh, yes, the vets are excellent. I'm taking her in tomorrow for her spay surgery so I'll see if I can get an opinion from them. Yes, her body doesn't look chihuahua to me and I've had chihuahuas before. Her tail doesn't either. Plus, the ears never stand up so that throws me off.
This is a cute one of her! She moves like a rodent. I call her my little river rat. Lol.
Hope the spay went smoothly!!! In that last picture she does have a lot of long hair doxie markers I see in the ears and snout--my Carmel Ann looked a lot like that in her puppy pix. She was a long-haired mini and I miss her more than anything!!! So cute!! Blessings to your little river rat!
After seeing the last pic you posted she does look like a chiweenie to me. Sooo cute!
She is ADORABLE! She actually gets her spay surgery tomorrow. I may end up fostering her brother, Romeo, as well. They look exactly alike.
