Is my dog a Chiweenie? I was told she was a teacup Chihuahua, but that is not true. The vet said she weighs too much. She is 7 weeks old and is 2 pounds.

She looks like her body is longer than a purebred Chihuahua. I would trust the vet.
The vet usually knows best, so I could take their guidance into consideration--they vet can see what we can't--teeth, bone structure etc.
Weight is a challenge because the pup could be being overfed, so that is not always an accurate marker.
There may be some doxie genes in that sweet little face. You may not see them in the body until the pup is a little bigger!

She does look a little long and has a little too much weight on her to be a Chiweenie. I would go by what the vet is telling you and I do not think she is a teacup either.
Although I think your puppy is absolutely adorable, I don't believe she is a teacup Chihuahua. As for whether she's a Chiweenie, I think you'll have to observe her characteristics as she gets older to see how she develops.
