Many people think their dogs are pure bred when in fact they may have several mixes in their past blood line. If you do not know the parents of your puppy, you may only have someone's "belief" that your puppy is pure bred.
DNA test kits are available at most pet stores, on-line and from your vet. The cost runs between $65 - 200 dollars.
Here is an example but tests are available from Amazon, eBay and others.
The only way to tell if your dog is a full blood is to take them to the vet and have them tested. The vet can take a blood sample and send it to the lab.
