He looks like a mix of several breeds. Pitbull doesnt seem to be one of them. You could have a dna test done to be sure.

I don't think your dog looks anything like a pitbull. I think it looks more like a shepherd/terrier mix. There might also be Border Collie in the mix.

Check out some border collie pup photos online and I think you'll see similarities with your puppy.

AWWW!!! What a huggable little face! I am not an expert, just love all dogs and have had hounds almost my whole life.

I see a little hound in there, maybe some terrier, maybe some collie or border collie, maybe some corgi, but no lines of any of the bully breed (except maybe a drop of coloring--but those colors are universal among many breeds).

Have you established the pup with a vet yet? He/she can give your their feedback based on the jaws and teeth, hip lines and bone structure.

I say you have a sweet Heinz 57 dog (what Pittsburghers call a dog with many breeds in it--just like Heinz 57 sauce has many ingredients).

Enjoy that sweet pup and wishing you a lovely and long life together!

I am certainly not a good one to offer advice about a breed but it is pretty clear, even to a novice that your puppy has very little, if any, pit bull.
That is not saying anything about what a beautiful puppy you have.

  • If, for some reason you really need to know about the breeding then you would need to buy a DNA test kit.
  • These can be purchased online or most pet stores as well as many big box stores like Walmart, Target, and some hardware stores like Ace or True Value.

  • The cost of a kit can run from $35 - to over $200 according to how extensive a search you need.

  • The most important thing you can do for your puppy is to be sure he has a vet and gets all of his first year shots/vaccinations so he will hopefully not catch any of the bugs that so often make young puppies sick or even die (Parvo).
