Pitbull is not a defined breed. 4 most widely-known pitbull-type breeds - American pitbull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Staffordshire bull terrier, or American bully. Your dog looks like an American pitbull terrier, but dogs without a pitbull-type background are frequently mis-identified as pitbull-types, and vice versa, even by experts. This is why visual indicators simply arent very reliable. Therefore DNA testing will give you the most definitive answer. You can purchase a dog DNA test online, swab the inside of the dog's cheek, and send the sample back to the company.

I think your dog is a red nose pit, but I'm not sure. DNA testing is the best way to answer this question.

If you did not meet the parents or receive papers, then the only way to know what mixed breeds your pup has would be to purchase a DNA test kit.
A DNA test will provide a lot of information about your dog and as a general rule, most owners are happy about the information a test provides. You can purchase different DNA kits for prices ranging from $60 to thousands of dollars but a basic test is generally sufficient for everyday purposes.

To me it looks like an American pitbull mix. You can do a dna test to determine the full bloodline.

She looks like an American Pit Bull Terrier

American Pit Bull Terrier is a companion and family dog breed.
Some people say the American Pit Bull Terrier is the same as the American Staffordshire Terrier. Others, just as forcefully, say they're entirely different breeds. The confusion started with a decision by the AKC in the early 1930s to give it a new name, American Staffordshire Terrier, to separate it from its pit-fighting past.

My parent's had a pure boxer and it looks just like your dog. I think that dog is Boxer for sure and not Pitt at all. I don't see any Pitt in that dog.

The body may be Pitbull. You could have a DNA test done if you want to be certain.

I think without a doubt that your pup is a pit/pit mix! Good for you! They are great dogs contrary to popular belief. My very first dog that I had, on my own as an adult, was a pit mix.God rest his soul.He was Black & White with spots and his spots had brindle coloring that you fur baby has.

He also looks like he has same build and head shape consistent with pit breed.
