Is My Dog an American Bully or a Pit Bull Terrier?

I really wanted to get my son a pup for Christmas. My neighbor has an American Bully that is short to the ground and stocky, with a nice size head.

Being new to the dog world I was too trusting and traveled to Irvington Kentucky 10.5 hrs away from my home one direction. Anyways we sent endless emails back and forward so I really trusted this breeder. Little did I know I may have been duped.

From all the pictures and video chats, etc. it looked like an Americn Bully with a big head and body. When I brought him home I just didn't have the same feelings and things stopped adding up. The Bully (exactly what I wanted) that was shown to me upon pick up was supposedly the grandfather and the father looked like a regular Pit Bull to me. Mom's an American Bully.

So my guess is that dad is a Pit an mom is a Bully. What do you guys think?

Any help would be great because I can not keep the high athletic energy of the Pit. The Bully's low lethargic activity level would best suit me and my family's need. I don't want to be selfish to the dog.
