He looks like a purebred. You can always do a DNA test to be sure.

The only way to tell for sure is to have a vet do a DNA test. You can't tell just by looking.

Difficult to tell at such a young age but he sure seems to have all the markings.
- Pure bred is a powerful statement and really only fits a small percentage of dogs. But he could be close and maybe only have a small percentage of other breeds but sometimes that small percentage will show up as the puppy grows.
- The only way to know for sure is to get a DNA test. The test kits are expensive but they give you a lot of information so you will know more about your puppy. The cost of DNA kits run from $40 to over $200 according to how extensive you want to check.
- DNA test kits can be purchased from your vet, from many pet stores and farm stores as well as online. Here is a link with DNA information:

- It may be nice to know the breed status of your puppy but it is more important to be sure he gets all of his first year shots/vaccinations. Check out this link so you will a time schedule to see the vet (rabies shots are mandatory by law):
