I have a little puppy and I'm trying to figure out if he's a purebred Pit Bull puppy. He's white with spots on his ears.

His fur seems a little too 'fluffy' for a purebred Staffie although really he's too young to tell in this pic. Too, it's been awhile since I've been around Staffie pups that young so hopefully one of the Staffie folks will post in. I'm a Boxer person, raised them 40+years in the States. My cousin raised Staffies but again, it's been at least 15 years since I've been around ones as young as this one seems to be - he can't be more than 6-7 wks in this pic so for those reasons I'm not 100% sure but I'd say he is a mix of Staffie and something else.
Btw, Staffie is short for American Staffordshire Terrier which is the proper name for a 'pit bull'. Saying he's a 'Pit Bull' dog will only remind people of the terrible (usually undeserved) reputation so you want to be sure you use the right name for your dog if you decide to keep him - no matter what breed he is mixed with he's at least half Staffie, and he's adorable - gorgeous colour!
If cared for sensibly in a loving way he'll be your most loyal companion for as long as he lives, and an excellent goodwill ambassador for 'dangerous dogs' even as a mix. If you wanted only a purebred, PLEASE turn him over to a reputable breed rescue group so he can find a loving fur-ever home!
He's got a very sweet face on what looks to be a Staffie flat head, typical Staffie paws and forelegs. Without seeing a full body shot including the tail it's nearly impossible to discern the other breed he's mixed with - a vet will be able to give you a much better idea.
My main concern are the ears - they look to have been 'home trimmed' soon after birth. You need to get him to a vet to be sure he's ok, and to learn the special needs of any dog who's been through such a traumatic amputation.
Please update after the vet has looked him over.
Thanks a ton sunnie...just for giving me something to call my dog other than pit bull. She is the most gentle lovibg dog but people are terrified of her if i tell them shes a pit. Stupid people have ruined these wonderful creatures reputations. My dog is full blooded staffie and literally the perfect dog for me. Give them a chance before you get scared of them. My nature they are very loving doggies.
