The shelter said he's a Chihuahua mix. He looks like a Chiweenie to me.

I dont see any dachshund, but I do see Chihuahua
Very sweet little pup! There could be some dachshund in him. The chest has the shape of a mini doxie (I have had doxies forever and they have distinctive chest barrel shapes). I can't get a good look at the haunches to see if they have doxie lines also...of course they could be from the Chihuahua lineage.
There may also be a drop of terrier in this sweet boy! Have the vet check out the teeth, jaw, hips and bone structure to weigh in.
