I adopted this puppy and they told me she's an American Staffordshire Terrier, but I think she's maybe a mix. She's 4 months old and she has a lot of mini black spots.

Judging by its physical appearance and the presence of mini black spots, I don't think your dog is a full-blooded Staffordshire terrier. Mini black spots, which are called ticking, are often found on the coat of various hound breeds it could be that your dog has some hound in its background.
This is possible (mixed) but this could change as she gets older - here is more info - en.wikipedia.org/
I do not think so as she does not appear to be very stocky but appears to be slender and not sure about the actual shape of the head but she is really too young for guessing.
Perhaps when you take her to the vet for her first year vaccinations/shots the vet will be able to give you some suggestions. First year vet visits are the most important thing you can do for your new pup but actual DNA tests are the only real way to find out the true breeding. Kits are available online, pet stores and your vet.

Thanks!
Normally Staffordshire Terrier are quite muscular and have some characters of a pit bull in the shape and form of the body. The head of the dog has come characters but the body and size do not. I do believe the dog is a mixed breed and not a full blood Staffordshire Terrier.
It's hard to tell at this age, but she does look leaner than most stafforshire terriers.
If the person claims this, she should have paperwork to back it up. If not, her claim isn't worth very much.
