I received this doll from my husband's grandmother in 1978. This doll was made in Taiwan, packaged by Eugene Doll Co., NY, NY. She is 14 inches, soft bodied with plastic arms, legs, and head. She has the original satin gown and cap and a one time did say mama or cried.
On the back of her head, it says EUGENE DOLL 10 c 78. I have searched online and cannot find info on her. She is in pretty good condition for as old as she is. I was wondering if anyone could help out in finding out if she's worth anything as I would like to give her to my granddaughter with a little bit of info.

I found an almost identical doll, but made in 1975:
Vintage 1975 Eugene Doll Hard and Soft Plastic 14" is listed at $20
She has an identical label "made in Taiwan, packaged by Eugene Doll Co., New York, NY"

On the back of your doll head, it says EUGENE DOLL 19 c 78 meaning 1978
Your doll is cute, in good condition, but its value is not high, I think $20-30.

This is not considered a vintage doll. It is a mass-produced doll that is not worth much. It may have sentimental value to you.
1978 Le Just Born Eugene Doll CO.INC in box is listed at $19.50
Vintage 1978 16" Eugene Doll is listed at $15
The Eugene doll company produced several styles of dolls but all styles were mass produced and sold wholesale to toy stores in the US and later to other countries.
Your doll is cute and since she has been in the family for so many years that should be something to tell your granddaughter.
Many times' provenance means more than an item's condition or its value.
You can check eBay's sold listings to see what people are actually paying for similar dolls.
