Is this genuine Magnalite or a what? No picture but it looks like a Magnalite roaster, very heavy, mark on bottom says "Magna" in deeply etched letters. Only other markings are "USA" - maybe just "SA" and ??quarts (barely legible). I couldn't find anything helpful on the internet. Thank you in advance.

I think that Magnalite always used the full name. I couldn't find any examples of them shortening it. It's in a script font or blocked lined letters. There is a newer version called Magnalite Classic, which is manufactured in China based on the old designs. These are no where near as valuable as the vintage ones.
You might have a clone version that was made to resemble the Magnalite. There are supposed to be many different types of copies and it would stand to reason that "Magna" would be close enough to fool someone. I don't think the clones were bad pans, just not up to the quality of the original Magnalite.
You may be able to find out more info on ebay. There are several magnalite roasters listed for sale:

From what I have seen on eBay, it says magnalite in the bottom
