Brown meat, then add other ingredients. Cook meat until done and veggies are soft. Drain any grease. Add 1 cup water, add all other ingredients to browned meat. Bring to a boil, then simmer 10-15 minutes. The liquid will be less after simmering. Cook rice, couscous, or quinoa of choice. 6-8 cups cooked rice per 1lb. meat ratio. Place a serving of rice onto plate, add meat mix on top of rice. You may mix rice and meat mixture together also. This is much easier for children or large families. No mixing on plate required so Mom can join and enjoy eating with the family, too. Just double recipe for larger servings.
