I made this afghan up in just a couple of weeks choosing my own color combination. The main stitch used is double crochet (dc) and a multiple of ten chains between (dc) groups of ten. When the acquired length is completed, starting at the bottom, overlap each set of chains to the top. A braiding effect is created and then a crochet border holds each braided row in place to finish. This pattern only looks complicated, but is very easy and fun to do. This is a fast working pattern and is very suitable for gift giving.
Total Time: Working off and on, I made this afghan in approximately two week
