Janome Sewing Machine Making a Buzzing Sound - sewing machine on a desk top I have a 18 yr old Janome model 4618. I've been sewing face masks quite a bit these last two weeks with the coronavirus shut down. My machine is now making a loud buzzing noise when it is running. It still sews normally. It is just loud.

I'd normally take it in for service, but with everything in my state shut down, I can not. So what can I do at home to solve this?

Try to give it a good cleaning. Probably dust is built up in the undercarriage.

Don't use an air can. Canned air can damage. Try a soft brush stroking away from the machine.

Thanks for the reply.... I did take apart what I could and dust it well. I also added some oil. The buzzing seems to be coming from the right part of the machine, I'm guessing the motor area?
