I recently acquired a broken sewing machine from Freecycle that was seized. After a lot of oiling and waiting it is now running, but in the process of removing bits to get at the cam shaft, I removed the cassette of pattern cams. When putting them back in, I have misaligned something so the patterns no longer work. It can still do straight stitching, but I think the front macro pattern selector may be in the wrong position (cream bits to the left of the silver bit which is left of the big black screw head in bottom half of the picture). This controls a small grouping of 2 or 3 cams that selects the top or bottom row of patterns. I think the micro selector for the specific patterns is in the right position.
Can anyone advise a series of steps I can go through to get it all aligned again please?
It's an old Janome Novum 591 Deluxe Mark X.
