I tried to power on a new Janome 7330. It came on and went down and refuses to come on again.

Make sure the power cord is not defective
Lucky you to have this machine! I have sewing machine envy!!
Double check all of the connections from the machine to the wall just to be sure nothing came loose. If everything is secure, then try it in a totally different plug in the wall.
If it still is not working, since it is brand new, contact the place you bought it and ask for their guidance. I would hope that they would do a free troubleshooting for you.
Post back with an update! Happy sewing!! Post some of your fun projects for us to see!!
By 'new' do you mean it is new to you or did you purchase a new machine from a store or online?
The Janome 7330's were started in 2008 (to the best of my knowledge) and apparently has not been manufactured for several years but there are still a lot of new machines available (listed for sale all over the Internet).
If checking plugs does not help and you continue to have problems and the company does not help then you might want to contact Janome support and see what they tell you.
I'm sure you received a manual with your machine but for anyone needing a free manual:

Interesting fact:
"Janome (pronounced Ja-NO-me) means "eye of the snake" or "snake eyes"
named after the shape of the bobbin.
